Girls to the Front Headbangers – We Need You!

Hissy Fit would like to thank all the amazing folks who came down to the Erskineville Town Hall to support our work, Girls to the Front. We had so much fun thrashing out with you guys and were so inspired by all the fierce feminist energy you brought to our work.

Hissy Fit were super impressed with the performances in this work and we would love to use the footage we collected for further development of our work and documentation here on our website.

If you are happy to consent to us using the footage of your headbang please email us: hissyfit@hissy-fit.com

Thanks!

Girls To The Front | Creative City Sydney Interview

Read about Girls to the Front and all the other awesome works that are part of the 2014 Tiny Stadiums Festival on the Creative City Sydney blog.

“Hissy Fit looked to Riot Grrrl as part of bigger research on women in punk and rock that we completed for a work currently in development. Aside from the politics, it’s the musicians themselves and the frenzied energy in their live performances that we have found to be rich material for exploring the concept of the hysterical woman, who we see as a powerful feminist icon.”
